Ascendi wins A69, a motorway in France, together with NGE.

Ascendi will be responsible for setting in operation one of the first toll collection systems exclusively electronic in France.

Ascendi, as the second largest motorway operator in Portugal and a reference in the toll collection market, namely in the Multi Lane Free Flow regime, won the concession of the A69 motorway between Toulouse and Castres as part of the consortium led by the company of NGE civil construction.
The consortium will establish a dedicated company, ATOSCA, which will be responsible for the concession and will also integrate the Quaero and TIIC infrastructure funds.

To create this infrastructure, declared of public interest in July 2018, the consortium will use regional companies and will raise around 1,000 local jobs.
The contract award will now allow the consortium to work with government entities and local authorities and continue consultations with all stakeholders to ensure the project’s success, aiming to start working by the end of 2022 and start operations in 2025.

Luis Silva Santos, Ascendi CEO, mentioned: “This project is the recognition of Ascendi’s capabilities as a road infrastructure operator and in designing and operating innovative toll solutions, which are at the heart of our international development strategy.”
